The Only Cardiac PET Perfusion Examinations in Orange County, California The attached images are from a normal CARDIAC PET PERFUSION examination. This is a relatively new exam which, in Orange County, is currently performed only at Birch Medical Imaging. The examination is done using PET/CT and Rubidium 82. This exam reduces artifacts, gives optimal visualization of the inferior wall of the heart and provides wall motion and profusion information. The need for subsequent invasive coronary arteriography was reduced by more than one half compared with SPECT.
